Captured on a sunny January day, you can see the sunlight reflected from the outside.
McConnells Mill State Park, a National Natural Landmark, also features two man-made historic relics, the McConnells Mill and covered bridge. The mill and bridge are Mill and Bridge - McConnells Mill State Park, Portersville, PA located along the park's scenic Slippery Rock Creek Gorge, creating a very popular destination in Western Pennsylvania.
The park area extends to both sides of the gorge and a handful of trails allow visitors to explore a variety of natural wonders as well as the thundering Slippery Rock Creek as it gushes through the gorge. Part of the North Country National Scenic Trail, Slippery Rock Gorge Trail is a challenging six mile hike which eventually descends into the deepest part of the gorge. Janice Rae Pariza was born in Youngstown, Ohio in 1955 and raised in Ohio, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, Nova Scotia and Connecticut. She has been painting since the age of eight. A self taught painter, she supplemented her natural abilities by studying privately for 14 years. A realist in the medium oil, her subject matter has varied throughout the years. She has expanded into the realm of the Abstract and Impressionism. Extensive travel in the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean is reflected in her paintings and photography. ***15% of all proceeds are donated to the ASPCA.
