The Lilacs that bloom each Spring are fresh and fearless as voiced in Sara Teasdale's poem. This was captured in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Syringa vulgaris is a species of flowering plant in the olive family Oleaceae, native to the Balkan Peninsula, where it grows on rocky hills.
Sara Teasdale was an American lyric poet. She was born Sarah Trevor Teasdale in St. Louis, Missouri, and used the name Sara Teasdale Filsinger after her marriage in 1914.
